What you'll accomplish
By the end of this guide, you'll be using ChatGPT Plus to draft individualized treatment plan goals, objectives, and interventions in proper clinical language — turning a 90-minute documentation task into a 30-minute review-and-personalize workflow. You'll also have a reusable template approach for your 30/60/90-day plan reviews.
What you'll need
- A ChatGPT account (free tier works for occasional use; {{tool:ChatGPT.plan}} subscription at {{tool:ChatGPT.price}} for daily use with Projects)
- A client's clinical summary in front of you — problem areas, substances, co-occurring issues, stage of change
- Important: Use deidentified summaries (no name, DOB, or record number) — AI chatbots should not receive PHI unless you're using a HIPAA-covered tool
- Time needed: 30–45 minutes once you have a good prompt template
